Today’s highlight :

Ikebukuro venue (TIFFCOM / TIAF) of JCS 2019 has finally ended its final day.
TIMM at Shibuya venue will start next Monday, Oct.28 !

Japan Content Showcase 2019 at Ikebukuro venue (TIFFCOM / TIAF) has finally ended its final day. The bustle continued throughout the three days, with the number of participants in Screening increased to 119% , compared to last year. It can see that the number of buyers and visitors with a clear purpose has increased further, and this has led to factors such as the increased awareness of JCS which shows effectiveness as a place to develop and strengthen its all participants’ businesses. Events such as “HADO” by meleap inc. and the shamisen demonstration of Television Osaka inc. are also highly rated as “interesting” and “very attractive” by many buyers and visitors who participated.

Next week, from Monday, Oct.28th, the venue will be moved to Shibuya and the TIMM (Tokyo International Music Market) will be held. There are also many attractive and diverse programs, such as numerous business seminars and “Showcase Live”, and we look forward to your visit.

Report on the Songwriting Camp Held in Taipei Geared Toward the Asian Market

Participants of the songwriting camp held in September 2019 in Taiwan will provide a report of the camp and speak about the potential for co-writing in the Asian region in the form of a panel discussion.

VTubers Now and in the Future; Strategies and Prospects

■OUTLINE
They appear in TV commercials and shows, on the news, and perform as music artists. VTubers are a new category of performer finding an increasing number of opportunities to be in the limelight. We have invited 3 leaders of the VTube industry to TIMM to speak about the current state of the industry and an exploration of its issues and future possibilities, such as overseas expansion, from a music perspective.

■OUTLINE
Japan’s live entertainment industry is entering a period of transformation toward the realization of an inclusive society. Raising awareness of disabling barriers and promoting understanding of LGBTQ are now common themes around the world. In this seminar, UK live music accessibility charity Attitude is Everything will share their work supporting the UK’s live music industry to improve accessibility for disabled fans and artists. The session will end with a panel discussion on the key things Japan’s industry can do to break down barriers to participation in live music.

Status of So-called “Unauthorized Music Apps” and Counter Activities of the Music Industry

■OUTLINE
So-called “Unauthorized Music Apps” that stream brand-new music tracks for free of charge, such as MusicFM, have gained a huge popularity among younger generation users in Japan. Those apps have been seriously damaging music right holders by facilitating and promoting the use of unauthorized music and have also affected healthy development of legitimate music services. The presenters will brief the status of those apps and counter activities conducted by music organizations and relevant parties.

If you registered a JCS ID badge, please upload photos in MYPAGE. Face photos must be registered in advance and without the Face photo, ID badge cannot be issued. This makes the process faster to issue the badge at the registration.
※1-DAY pass does not require photo registration.

From your MYPAGE, please confirm once again where to pick up your ID badge. If you need to change the place to pick up your ID badge where you have seletced upon ID registration,
please update the new place to pick it up. You can edit on "Edit your personal data" page in Mypage area
ID Badge for Japan Content Showcase 2019 can only be picked up at Shibuya venue (28, 29,Oct, Only).
ID Badge CANNOT be picked up at the venue of TIFF at Roppongi.

To pick up your ID badge at the registration desk, if you print the QR code and bring it, you can shorten the time to process of receiving your ID badge. Login to your own MYPAGE, click the green "ID Pick UP QR code" button on the bottom left, then, the QR code will be displayed.

*For Exhibitor ID badges
Exhibitor ID Badges will be handed over to the representative (main Exhibitor) in bulk on move-in day and the first day of the market. Basically, QR code is not required.
